OpenAI’s CEO Sam Altman has a warning and it’s not pretty: AI voice cloning scams are about to trigger a major global fraud crisis. Thanks to the rise of deepfake voices that can mimic anyone, some banks still use voiceprints for big-money transfers—a loophole that scammers are waiting to exploit. Altman says, “AI has fully defeated most current authentication except passwords. We're on the edge of a significant, impending fraud crisis.” Time to be suspicious of those urgent phone calls from “relatives.”

Korea Launches AI Voice Consultations for Hospitals Miracell introduces Korea's first AI-powered voice system for medical appointments and billing inquiries. Co-developed with European firm Vee, it offers 24/7 conversational support. Voice AI is transforming healthcare—one appointment at a time.

How did you end up in voice?

"I think AI in a chatbot is too restrictive. Good quality Voice AI solutions save a lot of time for knowledge workers."

What's your struggle or moment of joy with voice?

"The problem with voice is understanding and accurate processing even if user input is garbled. And that tech does not come cheap. Especially when scaling up."

Where do you think voice is going?

"Within the next 2 years, I think that'll be the only way we interact with AI. Let's be honest. We still type because of voice inaccuracy. If that is fixed and consistent then there is no reason for chat." 🕺💃

ps: Arvind has in prompt system the command “Don’t be too verbose”, but also “Build great product” : “Master Your Inbox With Just Your Voice” sounds to my ears like a Turkish Delight to my mouth… Delicious !

Haven’t tested yet but if this works … I’ll be a client !
